Traffic Light

The light stays red for a stretch nobody can predict. When the green comes on, click — every millisecond counts. There are five starts per race, and clicking early jumps the start.

Engine cold.

Press “New race” to light up the signal.

Getting started

  1. Light up the signal. The button starts the race and the red comes on right away.
  2. Wait for green. The wait is random on every start: from one to three and a half seconds.
  3. Click the track. The big area next to the light is your pedal; click it the moment the green comes on.
  4. Don't jump. Clicking on red turns on the yellow and the start begins again.
  5. Finish all five. The average of your five reactions is your final time.

Starting tips

  • Look at the bottom lamp, not the cursor: the cue reaches you through your eye first.
  • Keep your finger resting on the mouse or the screen; reaching in to press costs tens of milliseconds.
  • Breathe between starts. Nerves shorten your patience, and that's what jumps starts.
